¡Printing the Revolution!

DETAILS

This project involved choosing and redesigning a book’s cover and selected interior pages. The book I chose was “¡Printing the Revolution! The Rise and Impact of Chicano Graphics, 1965 to Now” by Claudia Zapata, Tatiana Reinoza, and Terecita Romo. I chose this book because I was interested in learning about the Chicano movement and the art behind it. Moreover, I had the opportunity to speak with one of the authors who was an art history professor of mine. I wanted to maintain the Chicano graphics style and utilize symbols to convey the Chicano identity.
